What we do
iwantcoding.com publishes plain-English lessons across 56 programming tracks — from foundational web languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, through backend languages like PHP, Python, and SQL, all the way to specialist tracks like Docker, Kubernetes, machine learning, and enterprise architecture.
Every lesson is designed to be read in five minutes and includes a runnable code sample, a copy-paste-friendly snippet, and a quick exercise so you can lock in what you just learned. There are 2,600+ individual lessons in total.
Our story
iwantcoding.com was founded in 2026 by an educator working with Filipino BSIS and BSIT students who needed clear, English-language coding resources that assumed nothing. We built the tutorials we wished had existed when we were learning to code. The site is independently run and grew out of years of teaching notes, capstone guidance, and industry practice.
Today, the site is used by learners across South-East Asia and beyond. We keep it free by running lightweight, non-intrusive advertising and by welcoming contributions from readers.
What makes us different
- Runnable examples on every page — no need to install anything to try SQL, Python, PHP or TypeScript.
- Real diagrams and comparison tables — not just walls of code.
- Philippine-context tracks — including a full Capstone Manuscript Guide and an Enterprise Architecture track built around Philippine industry practice.
- Original content — every lesson is written by hand. We do not scrape or republish other sites' work.
- Progress tracking — read a lesson, take the quiz, mark it complete, and pick up where you left off next time.
Editorial standards
We hold ourselves to the following standards for every lesson:
- Content is factual, technically accurate, and up to date with current stable releases.
- Code samples are tested and runnable at the time of publishing.
- Security-adjacent lessons (XSS, SQL injection, CSRF, ethical hacking) are framed defensively, never as attack recipes.
- Errors are corrected quickly when reported — see our contact page.
Who we are
iwantcoding.com is operated by a small editorial team based in the Philippines with a combined 15+ years of teaching and software-industry experience. Our editorial contact is admin@iwantcoding.com.
Editorial roles
- Editor-in-Chief — sets the tutorial roadmap, approves new tracks, and reviews every lesson before publication.
- Technical Reviewer — runs and validates every code sample against the current stable language/framework release before it goes live.
- Curriculum Lead — plans lesson order, dependencies between tracks, and the boss-quiz / cheatsheet / flashcard companions.
- Community & Moderation — reviews comments, moderates the study rooms, and responds to reader-reported errors within one working day.

How we handle corrections
